Competitor of the Year
Certain competitions are deemed 'ranking' tournaments. Competitors who take part score points for the medals they gain. 4pts for a Gold, 3pts for a Silver, 2 pts for Bronze and 1 pt for taking part but not getting a placing. These are then totalled up at the end of the year with the highest score taking the award.
